Royal wedding: Meghan Markle debuted a new hairstyle at her wedding rehearsal

Royal wedding: Meghan gives hint of wedding day hair as she debuts new hairstyle

Final preparations are underway ahead of the Royal Wedding this Saturday, May 19.

Today, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attended a dress rehearsal at St George’s Chapel.

Despite a difficult few days for the bride-to-be, she smiled at photographers who were waiting outside Kensington Palace as she and the prince departed en route to Windsor Castle.

The 36-year-old American wore a simple white shirt to the rehearsal, with large diamond stud earrings.

The stylish star also chose to debut a new hairstyle at the happy occasion.

She wore a half-up, half-down hairstyle, leaving many wondering if she was giving a hint of what to expect on her wedding day.

Meghan was photographed fiddling with her engagement ring as she and her fiancé arrived in Windsor and were driven down the Long Walk, which will be part of the wedding procession route.

Her hair was parted in the middle, with long strands framing her face on either side.

Rather than the straight look she often favours, her hair was sitting in loose waves.

Harry’s best man Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton were also seen arriving at the rehearsal in a black Range Rover.

Elsewhere in Windsor, the centre of the market town was in lockdown as 250 members of the armed services practised for the wedding.

The couple’s horse-drawn carriage, which will be pulled by Windsor grey horses, also took part in the rehearsal.

Inside the church, the St George’s Chapel Choir was busy practising throughout the day.

Earlier today, Meghan confirmed in a statement that her father Thomas Markle would not attend the wedding.

He revealed he had undergone a heart procedure in Mexico which prevented him travelling.

“Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding,” Meghan said in a statement.

“I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.

“I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday.”

Yesterday, the royal couple confirmed they would have ten bridesmaids and pageboys, aged two to seven.

As well as Prince George and Princess Charlotte, they have chosen several of their godchildren, and the children of Meghan’s close friend Jessica Mulroney.
