On the 20th anniversary of her death many remembered with sadness the tragic accident, and the years of sadness caused by Diana’s unhappy marriage to Prince Charles.
However, these throwback images show a happier side to the People’s Princess, a far cry from the rigid protocol expected of members of the royal family at the time.
Posing in a bikini, the snaps range from a number of holidays in locations such as the South of France and Indian Castle Beach in the Caribbean.

The images span the decades, and later pictures show Diana in 1993, holidaying in the Nevis island in the Caribbean, while in earlier shots she holidays in the South of France in 1985.
