Pregnant Binky Felstead ‘can’t wait to be a family’

Binky Felstead shocked fans when she announced she was expecting her first child with on/off beau Josh ‘JP’ Patterson.

But the Made In Chelsea star, 26, revealed things were better than ever with her boyfriend as they appeared on Monday’s episode of This Morning.

As Holly Willoughby remarked that Binky appeared ‘destined’ for motherhood, the reality starlet explained: ‘I’m not nervous. I feel like we’ve been given a real gift and I’m just really excited to become a little family.’

Discussing their notoriously turbulent relationship, Binky remarked: ‘It wasn’t great, it’s no secret we’ve had out ups and downs like any couple…

‘We just happened to have ours out on camera which is kind of difficult. I found out I was pregnant and we weren’t together at the time, we became friends and then from there…’

Recalling the moment he found out he was set to become a father, JP revealed: ‘I cant even describe the feeling, I had never felt that way before. My only priority was to make sure this one [Binky] was ok.’

He added: ‘It has taken a while. We discussed things and the most important thing was that we didn’t get back together for the child, that’s the worse possible thing you could do… you get back together because the love is there and the relationship is right. So it was a case of taking things slow.

Acknowledging their fall outs, JP continued: ‘A number of things went wrong the last time.

‘I think what we were going through was very normal, but being on TV it was enhanced.’

Cutting in, avid Made In Chelsea fan Holly reasoned: ‘I think after you have the baby it will be the hardest time.’

Addressing JP she said: ‘You seem to not be able to handle it when she goes off and lives her life. That’s how it appears on screen, you go off like a rocket.’

Visibly shocked, he responded: ‘No… People change when there’s a baby there. The changes in us is what makes it so special.’

Ultimately, Binky reasoned: ‘We’ve got to put on an united front. We want this child to have the best life ever.’

Binky previously told MailOnline about her relationship: ‘We are beyond the boyfriend and girlfriend thing.

‘A lot of people automatically thought that the baby could be a bad thing for our relationship, and that if we got together again it was just for the baby. But we have always loved each other.

‘The love was never gone. When we broke up last year, it was only a couple of weeks before we found out about me being pregnant. And for me, those two weeks showed me that I’ve always missed him.’

The reality starlet announced her pregnancy in January. While she has confirmed the birth will not appear on the E4 reality show, her journey through pregnancy is set to be the focus of the new series.
