Meghan Markle Prince Harry news: Once married, their first royal tour could be to Canada
Once Meghan joins the Royal Family full time, she will be busy with a calendar of appearances and events.
The royals are an important diplomatic asset to the UK, and one of the ways they help to build relations with other countries is undertaking tours.
Prince Harry has so far toured alone, but once he has a wife, he will no longer have to fly solo.
There is one particular country Meghan and Harry are most likely to visit for their first tour
Since he started dating Meghan, he has been to the Caribbean – famously making a 1,700 mile detour to visit his then girlfriend instead of coming straight home when it ended.
But that will no longer be necessary when the couple are married, as Meghan will join him.
And there is one particular country Meghan and Harry are most likely to visit for their first tour.

That country is Canada. William and Kate went there just three months after they married in 2011, and have visited again with their children in 2016.
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson also had their first foreign tour in Canada, waiting until 1987 to visit – the year after their July 1986 wedding.
And of course, Meghan has strong links to the country, living in Toronto for years while filming legal drama Suits.
It would make sense for the couple to get used to doing tours together in a country Meghan is already comfortable in, and that not only loves the royal family, but also took the actress under its wing for so long.

If Harry and Meghan did visit Canada for their first tour, it would be in direct contrast to the Queen, who visited Norway.
Queen Elizabeth visited Norway in June 1955, her first state visit after being crowned.
She may have chosen this country due to her close relationship with the royal family of Norway.
She is second cousins with King Harald V of Norway, who has been in power since 1991.
