Manchester United want two more signings after Alexis Sanchez
Manchester United appear to be closing in on a deal to sign Sanchez from Arsenal, with Gunners players reportedly expecting an official announcement in the next few days.
The 29-year-old, should he move to Old Trafford, is likely be Jose Mourinho’s sole reinforcement with other transfer plans set to wait until the end of the season.
And Spanish website Don Balon claims Mourinho is ready to pursue two former Real Madrid players – Fabinho and Ozil – when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
Manchester United‘s interest in Arsenal star Ozil is well-documented.
Like Sanchez, the Germany internatiol is out of contract at the end of the season.
Yet unlike his Arsenal team-mate, he may decide to stick it out rather than leave before it expires.
United are understood to be keen to sign Ozil, particularly as they would be able to use their transfer kitty on other areas of the squad.
Don Balon add, however, he may not be the only new recruit.
Monaco star Fabinho is another tickling Mourinho’s fancy.
The Brazil international was tipped to move back in the summer but the club’s purchase of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea changed things.
Mourinho, though, remains keen.
Fabinho could replace one of Marouane Fellaini or Ander Herrera at the end of the season.
Fellaini wants to leave the Red Devils for new challenge elsewhere, whil Herrera remains on the agenda of Ernesto Valverde at Barcelona.
