If you are Luke Shaw then you might be trying to do everything to make yourself popular at Manchester United but unfortunately that is not going too well.
Shaw, who only passed his driving test a year ago, reversed his £100,000 Range Rover into Phil Jones’s £200,000 Bentley at the club’s Carrington training base after the full-back had played three minutes of the 2-0 Carabao Cup win away at Swansea last month.
A source told the Sun: ‘Luke’s concentration slipped and he clattered into Jones’s car. He can afford the repair bill and there’s no hard feelings. Nothing seems to be going poor Luke’s way.’
Jones’s only had minor damage and no one was hurt in the incident at the club’s training base
Unlike Jones, Shaw is on the outside looking in at the United first team picture this season
Shaw’s only break was that no one was hurt in the incident and the cars had minor damage.
Shaw is out of favour with United boss Jose Mourinho. The left back has made just two appearances and no starts this season with the club actively seeking reinforcements in his position.
The latest name linked with Old Trafford is 21-year-old left-back Enzo Diaz. Diaz, who plays for Argentine second division leaders Agropecuario, has caught the eye of United as they look to find some security in Shaw’s position.

United have checked on Argentine Enzo Diaz, 21, as they look to recruit a new left-back
Despite only playing seven first team games, Diaz claimed that United are tracking his progress
He told Ataque Futbolero: ‘I found out about it on Saturday morning, but later I did not talk to anyone other than my agent.
‘My agent told me that they were delighted and they were going to see me a couple more games. It is the dream of any footballer [to play for Manchester United].’
