Kathy and Sam’s feud dates back to August, when Kathy called the Australian journalist ‘full of crap’ for criticising her decision to pose with a fake severed bloody head of Donald Trump.

Speaking about the now viral interview, Sam told Mark Latham’s Outsiders last month that she had felt it was her duty as a journalist to call Kathy out on the photo.

‘Personally I didn’t feel that the beheading joke was very funny – Trump or not Trump, I think she thought she could get away with it because everyone hates Donald Trump,’ she explained.

'You're full of crap!' Kathy lashed out at Sam after the Sunrise star implied that the criticism Kathy received for posing with a fake decapitated head of Trump may have been deserved

But despite her personal opinion, Sam said it had nothing to do with her line of questioning.

‘Well she is a ”comedian”,’ the Sunrise host said, using air quotes around Kathy’s job description.

‘I wasn’t applying politics that day I just thought she was a little bit unwell – kooky is one word for it.’

Kathy hit back during an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O Show last week.

‘She has been doing interviews where she said that she thinks I’m unwell,’ ranted Kathy.

‘She feels that my answer when I told her she was full of crap made me quote “unwell,” which makes me feel bad, because I heard she has scurvy,’ she joked.

'I'm happy to challenge her to a cage match - two dogs enter, one dog leaves!' Kathy lashed out at Sam during a radio interview last week

‘So she was like “don’t you think you’ve went too far?” and I’m like, “Really? After the President is Tweeting there could be a nuclear holocaust tomorrow?” So I just go, you’re full of crap.’

Kathy cheekily suggested that their feud ‘put [Sam] on the map.’

‘I’m happy to challenge her to a cage match – two dogs enter, one dog leaves,’ she said.
