Footballers singing club-themed songs has always been one of the sport’s stranger traditions, after several tunes made their way into the charts throughout the 1980s and 90s (see Chas & Dave – Hot Shot Tottenham).
Inter Milan are the next club to venture into the music business with their very own rendition of the famous Christmas song ‘Jingle Bells’, cleverly titled ‘Inter Bells’.
The Serie A league leaders have been filmed enjoying the festive period as Mauro Icardi, Ivan Perisic and Inter’s director of football Javier Zanetti sang the club’s catchy number.

While the song retains the famous melody, the Italian side have replaced the word ‘jingle’ with ‘Inter’ throughout the multiple verses.
The players’ vocals have been disguised by an auto-tune effect, as they invite you to chant ‘Nerazzurri, hey!’

Yuto Nagatomo, one of the club’s defenders, sang ‘People know it’s true, my blood runs black and blue, never without you and that goes for Christmas too’ in some of the changed lyrics from the original.
Borja Valero and Eder can also be seen singing the jingle in Italian as other Inter players decorate a Christmas tree.
The Nerazzurri have even invited the fans to join them in singing the song at the San Siro before their final home game of the year against Udinese on Saturday December 16.
The song may not hit the heights of New Order’s ‘World in Motion’ but it’s sure to get stuck in a few people’s heads in the build-up to the big day.
