Fashion chain French Connection has reported losses of £2.3 million for the year to January 31. Better than he previous year’s loss of £5.3 million though.

It said like-for-like sales rose 0.8% across the UK and Europe over the year, while wholesale revenues lifted 8.8%.

Legal & General snaps up housebuilder CALA Homes

Legal & General Group has acquired CALA Homes after buying up the remaining 52.1% it did not previously own for approximately £315 million.

The house builder was formerly under joint ownership with Patron Capital Partners.

“Financial adjustments” were also made to cost of the deal “to reflect the contribution of management and Patron during the period of our joint ownership,” Legal & General said.
