Final Fantasy 7 Remake release date boost for PS4
The Final Fantasy 7 Remake is one of the most highly anticipated games coming to the PS4, but at the moment not much is known about the release date.
The revival of the classic PlayStation One game was first announced back at E3 2015 to much jubilation.
For years fans had requested a Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and when all hoped seemed lost Square Enix and Sony stunned fans with a shock reveal.
Later that year the first gameplay footage for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake was shown at the PlayStation Experience.
But since then not much new information of the FF7 Remake has been revealed, with fans only getting a handful of new screenshots earlier this year.
This year is the 20th anniversary of when Final Fantasy 7 first came out, and seemed like the perfect opportunity for a huge reveal on the upcoming PS4 game.
And with 2017 drawing to a close, time is running out for a reveal on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake this year.
However, fans have now been given hope that Square Enix could be set to reveal more news imminently.
Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, has spoken about the upcoming PS4 title in an interview with Famitsu.
He told the Japanese gaming magazine that “important details” on the FF7 Remake would be announced sometime soon, according to SegmentNext.
It will raise hopes among fans that more info about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and even a release date, could be revealed before the end of 2017.
There are a few opportunities coming up where more details on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake could be revealed.
PlayStation recently teased that they are set to make some “big” announcements at the upcoming Paris Games Week.
On October 30 at 3pm GMT PlayStation will hold their big Paris Games Week 2017 event, which will live streamed online.
The Final Fantasy 7 Remake, along with the Last of Us 2 and the Resident Evil 2 Remake, are arguably the biggest PS4 releases on the horizon.
The “big” announcements could be more information on one of these three huge games.
However, our predictions is we would expect more information on these titles to be revealed at PlayStation Experience 2017 in December.
PlayStation Experience was where the Last of Us 2 was first announced and where we got the first Final Fantasy 7 Remake gameplay footage.
So it seems likely that Sony are poised to make more big announcements at the PlayStation Experience this year.
This is further reinforced by comments Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida made earlier this year.
He previously said Sony chose not to reveal some triple AAA games at E3 2017 as they were saving them for later.
Speaking in June, he said: “There are things we have held [back], Yoshida said. “We chose not to show those at E3 2017, but there will be some more news coming out from our teams later this year.
Sony could be saving an announcement on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake for PSX so they end 2017 on a high note and set things up for a great 2018.
Only time will tell though, but Express.co.uk will be bringing you all the news on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake as soon as it emerges.
