Mice took to literally a hole in the wall at a bank in Kazakhstan.

They hid from the severe winter cold by climbing into a cash machine at a ForteBank branch in capital city Astana.

By the time employees realised the problem, the rodents had eaten their way through hundreds of pounds worth of local tenge banknotes.

Two mice were detained in a cardboard box by security operatives.
