Disneyland Paris has unveiled plans to open a brand new Marvel-themed attraction at one of its theme parks.
The resort, to the east of the French capital, wants to bring the superheroes to life with a roller coaster and a live stage production at the Walt Disney Studios.
The news was announced on Monday by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Bob Chapek during the D23 Expo in Japan.

More than 2,000 fans were at the expo to hear about the latest projects in development for Disney properties all over the world.
The new ride will see the current Rock ‘n’ Rollercaster starring Aerosmith completely reimagined into a new attraction where riders will team up with Iron Man and their favourite Avengers on a ‘high-speed, hyper-kinetic adventure’.
Disney says that the addition of the roller coaster provides a permanent presence for Marvel in the parks.
Meanwhile from this June, The Avengers will ‘assemble during Marvel Summer of Super Heroes, which will bring guests face-to-face with Captain America, Spider-Man, Star-Lord and Black Widow’.

These characters will take to the stage in a live-action super-production featuring cutting-edge special effects, spectacular projections, and lots of other surprises.
Catherine Powell, president of Euro Disney, said: ‘These ambitious Marvel developments across Disneyland Paris will create brand new immersive Super Hero experiences for our guests, and will enhance the overall appeal of our resort.’
However, it is not just the theme parks that are being given a comic book-style makover.

It will feature exclusive artwork and a new design.
Disney says the new developments build on the momentum of the resort’s 25th Anniversary celebration and follow the recent news that Walt Disney Parks and Resorts is preparing to incorporate more popular stories and characters into the tourist destination.
The new attraction comes as Disney parks in both Florida and California are also being extended.
In Florida a Toy Story land will open in the summer while a Star Wars attraction will follow in 2019. An identical Star Wars area will also open in California at the same time.
