Rubbish and recycling firm Biffa’s chief executive has sold nearly £2million of shares.

Ian Wakelin, 54, cashed in as soon as he was allowed to sell them, following Biffa’s listing in October 2016 at 180p.

The married father sold 751,121 shares on December 1 at 252p, and 15,437 on December 5 for 249p, netting £1.9million.
