Paloma Faith and Liam Payne are among the nominees

The music ceremony is expected to honour the likes of Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa, who found big success in 2017.

The public should be able to vote in the Best British Single category, as ever – which is usually made up of the best-selling eligible releases from the prior twelve months.

Some BRIT Awards categories have already had their winners announced: Jorja Smith has won Critics’ Choice, while Steve Mac is Producer of the Year.

Performers on the night will include Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Rag’n’Bone Man, Sam Smith and Stormzy.

Nominations began to drip through ahead of the ITV broadcast at 5:45pm, such as Paloma Faith’s for Best British Female. Liam Payne’s two nominations were also revealed backstage on the red carpet ahead of time, where Jax Jones claimed that Ed Sheeran has FOUR nods in Best British Single. This was later denied by bosses.
